ABOUT

Tulsa Veterinary Acupuncture

Dr. Rachael Baldwin received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Oklahoma State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. She studied acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine at Chi University, earning her Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA) certification in 2025.

Dr. Baldwin became aware of the growing and well-established body of scientific evidence supporting the benefits of acupuncture in veterinary school, but her passion for acupuncture deepened when she witnessed its impact on her own animals—her beagle, Edie, and her cat, River.

Edie lived with arthritis and was diagnosed with bladder cancer at age 13, ultimately passing peacefully at the age of 16. River had arthritis and chronic kidney disease and lived to an impressive 20 years old. Although both faced progressive, terminal illnesses, neither passed away from those diseases and both lived comfortable happy lives until they passed away. Dr. Baldwin credits acupuncture—combined with Western medical care—for not only supporting their longevity, but for giving them comfort, mobility, and a truly meaningful quality of life in their senior years.

When she saw how much better Edie and River felt after their acupuncture treatments, Dr. Baldwin knew she wanted to offer that same level of comfort and relief to her patients. Their experiences became the foundation of her dedication to providing acupuncture as a meaningful, evidence-based, and compassionate treatment modality. Today, she is honored to help other animals live happier, healthier, and more comfortable lives through acupuncture.
